You can view our wedding photos here. And if you are interested in purchasing any originals you can get in touch with Island Photo here. We would like to thank Jeff Dupre for the tremendous images.

We wanted to share some nice words that Gillian’s Uncle Bruce Jones has posted to his blog. You can find them here and here and here. Bruce has several other great posts about the wedding that you can find on his blog.
We would like to also give a shout out to Molly S. Thomas for creating the unique jewelry for the wedding weekend. Several of the one of a kind pieces were produced to accent the dresses designed by Jessica Abernethy. Check out some of Molly’s other great pieces at her website here. We would really like to thank Molly for her work that rounded out the weekends outfits.

The best way to see the Island is by bicycle. When you arrive on Mackinac please visit the OrrKids Bike Shop. They have been kind enough to give guests of the Christy Preston Wedding a discount on rentals. We recommend a nice cruiser with a big basket.

There are three ferry line that travel to Mackinac Island. Star Line Ferry is offering guests of the Christy Preston Wedding a reduced rate of $19.00 and free parking. Mention our names to the attended at the ferry dock on the mainland to receive the discount.
There are a few tips you should follow when riding the ferry. One, mark all of your parcels with your name, address and phone number. Two, while unloading your bags have them tagged with the name of your hotel. Three, in nice weather sit on the top deck for the best view of the Island on the way across the Straits of Mackinac.
There are two other ferry lines that also run to the Island. Arnold Transit Company and Shepler’s.

The easiest way to Hawk Hill Cottage is to head West from downtown on the beach road. The water should be on your left as you leave downtown. Hawk Hill is a 2 mile ride from Downtown. You will know you are getting close to the cottage when you pass a bare spot in the woods to the right of the road. (This bare spot was once the Island’s only ski slope.) After the bare spot you will round the point and Hawk Hill will be the fourth cottage.
For those of you interested in taking a taxi to Hawk Hill Cottage the easiest directions to give the cabbie are that the cottage is in Stonebrook and that it is just next to Washout Road. Mackinac Island has yet to embrace the modern technology of street addressing.

On June 22nd a formal announcement ran in the Quad-City Times. You can take a look at the announcement here. Another Christy wedding announcement ran the same day. You can check out Gillian’s brother Adam’s announcement here.
